“Chennai to Munnar Trip Experience as a Driver | Real Life Story from India ๐Ÿš—๐ŸŒ„”

When I was working as a personal home driver, my owner was a lady. She was not very strict… but sometimes, she didn’t think much about my personal life. My duty was from morning 9 AM to evening 8 PM. Every week, there would be an outstation trip — sometimes to Munnar, sometimes to Madurai. One evening, at the end of my shift, she suddenly said, “Pack the car… we are going to Munnar.” She didn’t ask about my plans. She didn’t know my family was waiting for me at home. Still… I said, “Okay.” ๐ŸŒ™ The Night Journey Begins It was already night 9 PM. I was tired… but I started driving. Munnar is around 1000 km. That means 12–13 hours of driving. The first 2 hours were heavy traffic in Chennai. Slow movement… tired body… but silent mind. On the way, she asked to stop for coffee and restrooms. Those small breaks gave me little energy. ๐ŸŒ„ Reaching Munnar Morning… we finally reached Munnar. The climate was beautiful. Cool air… green hills… peaceful silence. After dropping her at the hotel, she to...

A Day I Drove With Hunger, But Came Back With a Lesson

That day started early in T. Nagar. Morning 7 AM — I reached on time. The customer looked at me and said, “First clean the car.” Under the hot sun, I cleaned a messy car filled with wine shop stickers. No problem… it’s my job. Then the real journey started. ๐Ÿš— Morning Ride First stop — wine shop. Then another stop — picking his friend. By morning itself, both were fully drunk. They joked, they shouted, they used bad words… I stayed silent and focused on driving. We crossed Mount Road. They had breakfast. They didn’t ask me to eat. I was hungry… but I controlled it. ๐ŸŒž Afternoon Struggle More liquor rounds. More rude words. More waiting. By lunch, we reached Marina Beach. The smell of spicy fish… it hit hard. They ordered big meals. I stood outside in the hot sun. Not even a single word: “Driver, you eat.” I had no money with me that time. But I kept telling myself: ๐Ÿ‘‰ “My family needs this income… stay strong.” ๐ŸŒ† Evening Pressure Evening — more travel across the city. Then to Anna Nag...

“Chennai Through My Eyes: Life, People & Stories of a Taxi Driver”

๐Ÿš— Chennai Through My Eyes: Life, People & Stories of a Taxi Driver “By Behind The Wheel” I am not just a driver. I am someone who has seen Chennai from every corner… every road… every kind of life. For years, I worked long shifts — sometimes 16 hours a day. From morning to midnight… my car moved, and so did my life. Chennai is not one city. It is many worlds living together. On one side, there is the IT life. In OMR Chennai, I see a different energy. Morning and evening — people with laptop bags, focused minds, always running behind work. But at night… OMR becomes something else. Night tea shops open. Men and women in casual dress, relaxing after a long day. PG stays full of young people sharing dreams and struggles. Small cafes stay alive till late. Friends sit, talk, laugh. Some go for bike rides… some take calm walks under street lights. For me… Chennai nights are best in OMR. There is peace… freedom… and a different kind of happiness. Then comes the business world. In Sowcarpe...
