“Chennai to Munnar Trip Experience as a Driver | Real Life Story from India ๐Ÿš—๐ŸŒ„”

When I was working as a personal home driver, my owner was a lady.
She was not very strict… but sometimes, she didn’t think much about my personal life.
My duty was from morning 9 AM to evening 8 PM.
Every week, there would be an outstation trip — sometimes to Munnar, sometimes to Madurai.
One evening, at the end of my shift, she suddenly said,
“Pack the car… we are going to Munnar.”
She didn’t ask about my plans.
She didn’t know my family was waiting for me at home.
Still… I said, “Okay.”
๐ŸŒ™ The Night Journey Begins
It was already night 9 PM.
I was tired… but I started driving.
Munnar is around 1000 km.
That means 12–13 hours of driving.
The first 2 hours were heavy traffic in Chennai.
Slow movement… tired body… but silent mind.
On the way, she asked to stop for coffee and restrooms.
Those small breaks gave me little energy.
๐ŸŒ„ Reaching Munnar
Morning… we finally reached Munnar.
The climate was beautiful.
Cool air… green hills… peaceful silence.
After dropping her at the hotel, she told me:
“Stay in the car at night.”
For me, it was okay.
Driver life… we adjust.
๐Ÿšถ‍♂️ Her Trip… My Duty
She started exploring Munnar after just 1 hour of rest.
But I was very tired.
Day 1 → We went to Kochi to visit her relatives.
They gave me tea and pazhampori (banana snack).
But I was not invited inside the house… because I am a driver.
I didn’t feel bad.
This is normal for us.
๐Ÿ—บ️ The Trip Continues
Day 2 → National park and shopping
Day 3 → Lake visit, shopping, and midnight photo requests
Day 4 → Tea estates, Vattavada strawberry farm, and Kolukkumalai off-road jeep ride
That off-road ride was amazing ๐Ÿ”ฅ
I really admired those drivers… very skilled and brave.
Munnar roads… especially hill driving… I enjoy it a lot.
I already knew the routes, so it felt like my space.
๐Ÿš— Back to Chennai
After 4 days, we started back to Chennai.
Again… 12–13 hours driving.
Tired body… but safe driving.
Next day morning, she told:
“Come early… we have meetings.”
No rest.
But this is driver life.
❤️ My Real Happiness
When I reached home…
I didn’t think about sleep.
I wanted my family.
The smell of home…
The smile of my wife…
The happiness of my child…
That is my real peace.
I only had ₹200 in my pocket.
Still, I took my wife and child to a small cafรฉ.
My child was so happy with that small snack.
That moment… meant everything to me ❤️
๐Ÿ™ Final Thoughts
Yes… driver life is hard.
Long hours… less rest… no respect sometimes.
But still…
I drive safely.
I protect lives.
I do my duty.
And I am proud of my work ๐Ÿ’ฏ

“Behind every journey… there is a driver with a story.”
